We have been designing and fitting kitchens for over 24 years now and we’re rapidly approaching our 5,000th kitchen installation. In that time, we like to think that we’ve learned a lot, forgotten a little and changed to meet the demands of our customers and their lives.
All of that knowledge and experience is something that our customers get a real benefit from and the fact that we can demonstrate our experience is a reassurance to them – after all, a new fitted kitchen, bedroom or bathroom is a major investment and knowing that the person doing the work is properly qualified and knows what they are doing is important.
But, how can you be sure that the person that you are employing to do the work is going to deliver? Here are a few tips…
Start with the internet. We’re very proud to be able to say that we have over 30 positive reviews of our work posted independently online by customers. In fact, we’re the only kitchen company in the Huddersfield and Halifax area that has 30 5-star reviews. Have a search around and see what customers are saying online.
Look at their work. Ask to see photographs and plans of their work. Make sure that you can see each stage of the project and pay attention to the little details – does the work look neat and tidy throughout? Are they keeping the work area clean while they’re in and working? Can you go and visit an actual installation and meet the owners? Are references available? Real customers who you can call and speak to.
Believe in your instincts. Does the person that you’re talking to share your vision for the project? Do they ‘get’ you (yes, that’s a little intangible, but you understand the idea), do they advise and recommend or do they dictate and assert their opinions?
Whoever you choose to do this work will be coming in to your home for days or weeks and you need to be confident that you’re comfortable with them and that they’ll deliver the job that you want.
